Meet our new Supervisory Board member, Jin Sahota

Jin SahotaJin Sahota, Director of Supply Chain, Commercial Division, Financial, Commercial and NHS at the Department of Health is our newest Supervisory Board member.

His role and influence in the healthcare industry will be of enormous benefit in the drive to implement GS1 standards across all NHS Acute Trusts in England as specified in the Department of Health’s eProcurement strategy.

The strategy mandates that any service or product procured by Trusts must be compliant with GS1 standards to provide greater regulatory compliance, increase operational efficiencies and most importantly to significantly improve patient safety and the quality of care.

I’m pleased to join GS1 UK’s Supervisory Board and to be able to play a direct part in the great work the organisation is doing in healthcare. Implementing GS1 standards across the NHS is already delivering many benefits – for Trusts, their suppliers and most importantly our patients. I hope that as a member of the Supervisory Board I can help drive this implementation deeper and more widely across the whole of the NHS.”
