Step by step guide
Below you’ll find step-by-step guides for exporting and importing data in My Numberbank.
Head to the imports and exports option on the side panel menu.
Click on the export tab.
In Export Options, choose the type of numbers you want to export, typically GTIN 13 for most members.
If you have multiple GS1 Company Prefixes, select the desired prefix.
In Export template, select the type of file you’d like your export to be. Excel is the default and recommended as it includes all the correct data fields for the newer version of My Numberbank. The legacy CSV file only provides old data fields and cannot be imported back into My Numberbank.
In document language and status, you can specify the language you’d like your export to be in, and also which numbers you’d like to export.
Click the export button.
You will be directed to a page instructing you to proceed to the monitor screen. Click the button to go to the monitor screen.
On the monitor page, you will see the progress of your report and a download button under the actions heading.
Download the file to your device. This file will serve as your template for any new imports.
Add your product data into the appropriate cells of the downloaded template file. Ensure all information is accurate for each product. Ensure you do not remove or change any headings or columns in the import file.
Save your file
Navigate to the import and export option on the left of your dashboard in My Numberbank.
Click on the import tab.
You can either drag and drop your saved Excel file or click the select button to browse and find the file.
Upload the file by clicking on the red import file button.
You will be directed to the monitor screen, where you can see a progress status bar.
If there are any errors, under the actions heading, you can find a report for the import.
Download the report by clicking on report. The report will detail anything that needs to be fixed.
Make the necessary changes to your Excel import file and upload it again.
