Derby has implemented GS1 standards across all three primary use cases - inventory management, purchase-to-pay and product recall
The final phase audit, which took place earlier this year, revealed they’ve so far saved over £1.6m from implementing GS1 standards – and they’re on track to exceed the savings predicted at the beginning of the programme.
Derby are already planning how they’re going to continue the success of their GS1 implementation and are looking at other areas where GS1 standards can be used throughout their Trust. All five other Scan4Safety Trusts are set to complete the programme by the end of the current NHS financial year.
