In addition to pitching opportunities to challenger brand investors, Amazon and Getir, there was a grand prize to be the next big thing. GS1 UK were honored to be one of the sponsors as we continue to support small brands on their business journey.

Once entered into the running, brands had to use the power of social media to talk about what made them special in the runup to the event. The three brands with the most likes were invited to pitch live to the D2C Summit audience who subsequently voted for the winner.

The grand prize totaled over £10,000 of support, resources and ads to kickstart the growth of the lucky winner’s D2C brand. The three finalists were Laylo, Plant Pops and TREAT YO' SELF and Laylo came out victorious on the day.

"We were so thrilled to have been chosen by the audience to win the next big thing. At the moment we are really driving customer awareness so this boost of support has come at the perfect time to help us promote our Rosé Méditerranée for summer."
