Multivariate listings are now included in the product identifier requirements
As a quick reminder, eBay have been rolling out announcements about the need for product identifiers across their websites. Follow the three steps below to decide if your listings are affected.
Step 1 – Product categories
You can check to see if your product is in one of the affected categories here.
Please note:
- Categories without a highlight already require a product identifier
- Categories highlighted in pink will require a product identifier by 29 February 2016
Step 2 – Item condition
If your product is in an affected category product identifiers are required for products in the following item conditions.

Step 3 – Listing formats
If you sell products in one of the affected conditions, you can find the roll out dates for your listing formats below.

eBay have stated that from the week of 29 February, you won’t be able to complete listing, relisting or revising items in these categories without including the required product identifiers. In addition, Good ‘Til Cancelled listings in these categories will not be renewed if the required product identifiers are not added.
It’s recommended that you start adding product identifiers to your listings as soon as possible to make sure that you meet the 29 February deadline.
