Head of healthcare
I joined GS1 UK in 2014, bringing more than 15 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device and consumables industries. As Head of Healthcare at GS1 UK, I’m charged with supporting the NHS and the healthcare industry to deliver greater efficiency and a more robust approach to patient safety.
Before joining GS1 UK, I have held a variety of senior operational and commercial roles in the UK and abroad.
I’m an avid follower of BBC Radio 4’s The Archers and a season ticket holder at Fulham Football Club.
I joined GS1 UK in 2017 and my role is to work with hospital Trusts in supporting their adoption of GS1 standards.
I am a registered nurse and my background includes surgery, oncology, and homecare. Prior to working for GS1 UK I worked at Baxter Healthcare in clinical roles focusing on training, consultancy and ultimately building and managing a homecare nursing service. Patient safety is at the forefront of all my roles.
I have a passion for interior design and am a keen runner.

I joined GS1 UK in 2014 to help NHS Trusts follow the eProcurement guidelines published by the Department of Health and understand how GS1 UK can help them. This includes making GS1 standards central to the entire healthcare sector – and its supporting supply chains and help Trusts deliver safe and cost-effective care for their patients.
Before joining GS1 UK, I’ve worked in the healthcare sector for over 10 years, spending most of that time at Haemonetics, the global leader in blood management services, and CHKS, part of Capita Health and Wellbeing.
I have spent most of my up bringing in Kenya and like Dr David Livingstone my heart is still in Africa.
