We’re pleased to confirm that many leading healthcare industry figures will be joining us at our annual healthcare conference in April 2016.
The line-up now includes spokespeople from the Department of Health, the General Medical Council, the NHS and leading NHS Trusts.

- Terence Stephenson, Chair of the General Medical Council
- Kevin Downs, Director of Finance and Performance, Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
- Keith Jones, Clinical Director of General Surgery, Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
- Mandie Sunderland, Chief Nurse of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
- Ashley Brooks, NHS National Patient Champion
The two day conference, at the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Heathrow, will be attended by 300 delegates who will gather to learn and share best GS1 implementation practice that enhances patient safety, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
The speakers will share their perspectives, expertise and experience, focusing on the real-life benefits of GS1 standards – which Lord Carter recently stated can save every NHS hospital in England an average of £3 million a year.
Attendees will learn the latest timetable for mandatory GS1 adoption. And the conference will showcase the work of leading NHS Trusts, including the six Acute Trusts selected by the Department of Health as demonstrator site, highlighting the true costs, challenges, opportunities and benefits that arise from implementing GS1 standards.
