A tender opportunity for healthcare solution providers to support Scan4Safety.

Supply Chain Coordination Limited (NHS Supply Chain) have announced a tender opportunity for key healthcare solution providers to support Scan4Safety and the rollout of its inventory management and point of care scanning programme.

What is in scope?

The procurement is in relation to managing high-risk medical devices and healthcare consumables across the supply chain, in-trust inventory management and point-of-care services which are crucial for enhancing patient safety, supply chain resilience, clinical productivity, and cost efficiency.

Service requirements

The tender process aims to establish a framework agreement which includes the service requirements below:

  • Inventory management systems
  • Point of care scanning systems
  • Hardware and devices supporting inventory management and point-of-care scanning

Solution providers are invited to bid for individual categories or any combination of categories without restriction. 

Each category will be evaluated independently, allowing flexibility for organisations based on expertise and capacity.

Engagement and how to get involved

As part of the preliminary market engagement, NHS Supply Chain will be holding two introductory webinars (12 and 17 June). These sessions will provide parties with a comprehensive understanding of the framework requirements.
