GS1 UK Healthcare Conference Terms of Use

GS1 UK and the Ticket Holder (defined in the Terms of Use below) entered into an agreement regarding the Event (defined in the Terms of Use below). GS1 UK agrees to conduct the Event in accordance with these Terms of Use.

1. Interpretation

1.1 The definitions in this section apply to these Terms of Use. All capitalised terms used here shall have the meaning defined below:

Event GS1 UK Healthcare Conference 2022
Event Badge The conference pass which will enable entry to the Event.
Event Organisers GS1 UK Ltd (GS1 UK) and its staff including any relevant third party contracted by GS1 UK as part of the Event organisation and production.
Event Charge The confirmed ticket pricing for the Event as set by the Event Organisers. This includes reference to early bird pricing, full price tickets and any discounts applied where applicable.

Event Venue The QEII Centre, Broad Sanctuary, London, SW1P 3EE.
Terms of Use ll required guidelines highlighted as part of this document which pertain to the use and purchase of tickets for the Event.
Ticket Delivery The timeframe and method used to provide tickets for the Event.
Ticket Holder The purchaser of the ticket, or, if the ticket is being purchased for a different person to attend, the attendee, for the Event.
Venue Management Any staff from the contracted venue where the Event is scheduled to take place.

2. Terms of Use

By opting to purchase, allocate or possess tickets to the GS1 UK Healthcare Conference 2022, you agree to these Terms of Use. GS1 UK reserves the right to make changes, revisions and amendments to the Terms of Use where necessary. Any such changes will be duly reflected on the Event Organiser Website. Any changes shall overwrite any initial Terms of Use in place at the time of ticket purchase.

2.1. The ticket prices for the event are fixed and non-negotiable, including any discounts or special promotional offers available at the time of purchase.

2.2. Your ticket  represents an exclusive, revocable licence for you to access the Event from 17 to 18 March 2022 inclusive. This licence can be revoked at any time by the issuer at its sole discretion, without any prior notification or compensation. 

2.3. The Ticket Holder  assumes full responsibility for the GS1 UK Healthcare Conference 2022 tickets once they are issued. In the event of loss, theft or damage, the Event Organiser reserves the right not to re-issue tickets.

2.4. Ticket Delivery will be via email. You, The Ticket Holder, will receive a confirmation number sent to the registered email once registration has been approved. The official Event Badge will be provided to the Ticket Holder upon arrival at the Event Venue. 

2.5. GS1 UK has the right to investigate if there has been any violation of the GS1 UK Healthcare Conference 2022 Terms of Use. In case of any conflicts, the decision of GS1 UK will be deemed final. This includes, but is not limited to, any perceived disputes in relation to payment methods, ticket pricing, exchanges or refund policies.

2.6. The Event will be deemed to have been delivered in its entirety as soon as it starts on 17 March 2022. 

2.7. If you are not able to access any particular section(s) of the Event Venue due to delays, government laws or regulations, weather-related problems, emergencies, venue shutdown/evacuation or any other reason, you will be entitled to a refund or for your ticket to be transferred to a future event. The Event Organisers will provide information on how to do so should this be the case. 

2.8. GS1 UK reserves the right, at any time, to change the date or location of the Event or to cancel the Event in the event of Force Majeure circumstances.

For the purposes of this Contract, Force Majeure means an event beyond the reasonable control of GS1 UK including but not limited to strikes, failure of a utility service or transport network, act of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm or default of suppliers or subcontractors.

GS1 UK shall not be liable to the ticket holder as a result of any delay or failure to perform its obligations under this Contract as a result of Force Majeure. 

2.9. In the event of a postponement or change of location of the Event, GS1 UK shall provide the option for reimbursement of the original ticket cost.  

2.10. If the GS1 UK Healthcare Conference 2022 is cancelled in its entirety due to any unforeseen circumstances, GS1 UK reserves the right to decide whether to postpone and reschedule the event to a later date, or not to run the Event at all. If the GS1 UK Healthcare Conference 2022 has to be rescheduled to other dates, your ticket will be transferred to the future Event date. If you are unable to attend the new Event date, you will be  eligible for a full refund of the Event Charge paid at the time of ticket purchase. The ticket holder cannot, under any circumstances, claim refunds on shipping fees, processing fees, handling fees, losses due to foreign exchange fluctuations  at the time of the refund and other charges.

2.11. All ticket sales are deemed as final transactions. There will be no ticket returns or exchanges provided. Any decisions regarding transactions will be done so at GS1 UK’s discretion.

2.12. GS1 UK reserves the right to use any photographs taken or videos/audio recorded at the event. GS1 UK may use the photographs/videos/audio in publications or other media material produced, such as post-event reports, newsletters and brochures. Any audio may also be turned into a transcript for any of the above purposes.

A person attending or presenting at the Event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer and/or contact dataprotection@gs1uk.org, or let the Event Organisers know on the day of the Event. By participating in the Event or by failing to notify GS1 UK of your desire to not have your photograph used you provide us with unambiguous consent to take photos/videos and process information accordingly in our database.

2.13. Event Organisers and Venue Management do not take any responsibility for personal or financial damages caused at the Event Venue, or for any items lost, stolen or misplaced at the Event Venue. 

2.14. Any purchases made relating to the Event are at the free will of the purchaser and as such, the purchaser does not have the right to initiate a chargeback claim or dispute on the provider of the credit card/debit card  used for the transaction.

2.15. In all cases of disputes between the Ticket Holder and the  Event Organiser, the decision of the latter will be deemed final.
