What is Tradacoms?
Developed in the early 1980s as an EDI standard for retailers and wholesalers based mainly in the UK, Tradacoms was used to process orders and invoices.
Since 1998, there has been no development of new Tradacoms message types. As Tradacoms has not been continuously developed, it has become increasingly unsuitable for today’s data exchange requirements.
Switch to supported standards
New EDI users have been advised to adopt the EANCOM or GS1 XML standards wherever possible. Both of these standards continue to be supported and developed.
