Can I get a barcode number for music?

GS1 UK provides Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs), also known as EANs, which can be used on any physical format of music, such as CDs and vinyl, as well as digital music sold on platforms such as iTunes and Amazon.

GS1 UK used to have a membership type designed specifically for musicians, however, as GTINs can be used on any type of product, and with the memberships we offer which are perfect for smaller users, our music memberships have been discontinued.

International Standard Recording Codes (ISCRs)

Please note that GS1 UK does not provide International Standard Recording Codes (ISCRs) which are used for the management of music rights across different formats and distribution channels. Please contact an ISRC Agency to obtain them.
