January 7, 2021 – As the country enters its third national lockdown, the welfare of HCSA members across the NHS procurement family is foremost in my thoughts.
I am deeply aware that the current challenges of critical care, PPE, vaccination rollout and business as usual will call on the procurement community to return to the well again and I have no doubt each and every one of you will rise to the challenge.
Throughout this historically difficult period, NHS procurement professionals have never been found wanting, which is why my 2020 President’s Award was presented to the community as a whole. I am immensely proud of your work and hope that 2021 will mean an eventual return to normal and the opportunity for the procurement family to meet as one again.
As HCSA President I will continue to give visibility to your work and champion your cause at the highest levels – a role that gives me immeasurable pride.
