The COVID-19 crisis and demands of the new trading relationship with the European Union are continuing to shape the way that we do business.

We are acutely aware that COVID isn’t the only challenge facing UK businesses so we conducted research with our members on their readiness for the transition. Only 28% had a plan 45% were still figuring it out and 27% hadn’t done any planning at all. The information has been published our website and covered by the Grocer. We also shared the research with the DiT as a third of businesses suggested they were revisiting their plans to export. As a result it has been shared more widely within the Government team and we are looking for ways to address the need for clearer information as part of our partnership with the DiT.

Nestlé veteran and GS1 UK chair, Chris Tyas has been included in The Grocer's Whitehall power list. His big interview and coverage can be found in the following links.
