Relationship manager

Accountabilities

To optimise the commercial and relationship value between GS1 UK and Syndigo, ensuring that both parties deliver on their productDNA contract commitments, in the delivery of the outsourced service and in the identification and development of new opportunities for productDNA.

Key responsibilities

productDNA governance management
  • Provide practical support for GS1 UK co-chair
  • Engage, on a regular basis, with active members of the governance group
  • Manage governance meeting schedule, creating and driving the agenda and ensuring timely 
    follow-up on actions
productDNA sales support
  • Provide liaison between Syndigo sales team and GS1 UK industry engagement team
  • Facilitate specific account activities which will benefit from the involvement of both parties
Partner development
  • Work with GS1 UK, productDNA subscribers and Syndigo to identify and develop partnership opportunities to increase the value of productDNA
Drive GS1 UK revenue / value opportunities
  • Identify opportunities in productDNA subscriber base for GS1 UK to provide added-value services
  • Facilitate the adoption of new data attributes as GS1 standards where required by local market
Voice of productDNA
  • Pro-actively represent Syndigo and the value of productDNA in GS1 UK internal forums and external events
  • Pro-actively represent GS1 UK in Syndigo
  • Work with marketing to align the productDNA value proposition with the wider membership proposition
Horizon scanning
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify new opportunities for productDNA collaborating with Syndigo to determine response and ensure delivery
  • Engage with key retailers to understand their future requirements and plan new developments accordingly.

Background and experience
  • Experience of developing partnerships, engaging with senior representatives of partner organisations 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – experience of delivering complex messages to a variety of audiences 
  • Comfortable with selling – the ability to negotiate with partners when needed 
  • Happy with ambiguity and able to make decisions in an environment which has competing priorities 
  • Good business acumen – ability to identify opportunities and develop compelling business propositions
  • Delivery focussed – experience of converting ideas into action with a proven track record of collaborative working to deliver on plans.
