New healthcare conference dates released for 2022

Our head of healthcare, Glen Hodgson, reveals the new dates for the GS1 UK Healthcare Conference 2022.

Glen_Hodgson_headshot_2018Since our last conference in April 2019, we have not been short of great advancements – the publication of the Scan4Safety evidence report being just one of many highlights.

We look forward to our healthcare conference as a means to celebrate the exciting work going on in the world of GS1 standards adoption and explore developments across the regulatory landscape.

As the Medicines and Medical Devices Act 2021 becomes law, the creation of the NHS Digital Medical Device Information System gets underway and the World Health Organisation’s policy paper on medicines traceability gets released, there are a wealth of updates to build upon at the next conference.

As usual we were planning to hold this as a live event in May however, given the current climate, and for the safety and wellbeing of all attendees, we have taken the decision to postpone our event.

Instead, government guidelines permitting, we plan to proceed on Wednesday 16 to Friday 18 March 2022 at our new venue – the QEII Centre, London.

In the leadup to the event, we will be bringing you exciting content from our headline sponsors, starting with an engaging webinar from platinum event sponsors Ingenica Solutions, with East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

“How GS1 standards have helped transform inventory management within the NHS”

  • David Harris, head of service – logistics and supply chain, East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Nicola Hall, chief operating officer, Ingenica Solutions
  • Ian Britcliffe, director of customer engagement both from Ingenica Solutions

The webinar took place on Thursday 22 April 2021 at 2 pm BST but you can still catch the on-demand version here to learn more.

We will keep you informed of when registration opens for the conference but in the meantime, why not save the dates in your diary and keep an eye out on our healthcare Twitter channel, for more to come from our sponsors soon.

You can still register your interest if you have not already done so you can keep up to date with the latest conference news.

We look forward to welcoming you to our event soon.

With best wishes,

Glen
