GS1 UK partners with Optiseller

In recognition of the importance the GTIN plays in bringing trust and authenticity to eCommerce, we’re pleased to announce that GS1 UK and Optiseller have launched a new partnership.

Optiseller is a platform that improves the distribution and quality of data used to list or sell merchandise through online channels. This new partnership will ensure that brands, retailers and marketplaces can verify products in this platform, using the GTIN. Optiseller can use the GS1 database to allow users to get an immediate view of the authenticity of products for sale - as the data is always accurate.

GTIN’s across all eBay listings can now be checked through Optiseller’s store performance dashboard. This dashboard displays the results, as well as allowing users to export the listing IDs of SKUs without GTINs or with incorrect GTINs, for resolution. Optiseller also offers a dedicated GS1 app that provides explanations for why the GTIN in a listing has been identified as incorrect.

Ashley Maroney, Director of Partnerships, says “Through our partnership with GS1 UK, Optiseller continues to make sure that our customers keep a consistently high level of data accuracy. This helps them in following the established principles for best practice in ecommerce and future proofs their data to handle the challenges of the new retail experience online.”
