In the previous My Numberbank service, you were provided with a completeness status indicating when all seven available product attributes were completed.
The replacement service offers a significantly larger number of attributes, and this list will continue to expand as we introduce new member requirements. Rather than creating an ever-growing list of attributes required for a 'green' status, we've designed the new service to focus on the seven attributes currently needed for sharing your data with Verified by GS1 (VbG), our global product verification service. Our replacement service enables all members to share a subset of their product data to the VbG Product Registry.
The new version of GS1 UK's My Numberbank is able to publish your product data to Verified by GS1 (VBG). To make this possible, we have had to update the attributes that were previously required for 'completeness'.
The list of attributes has been globally agreed upon by over 100 GS1 Member Organisations in consultation with their members and industry stakeholders.
The good news is that all your previously entered data has been migrated to the replacement service. Additionally, your Product Name and Brand information can be reused with Verified by GS1.
Some of these attributes will be familiar to you, but you may be less acquainted with Global Product Classification, often referred to as GPC. These are standardised codes used to categorise products globally. By consistently grouping products across different countries and industries, GPC simplifies international trade for businesses.
The 'Countries of Sale' attribute lets you specify the markets where your product is sold. Additionally, the 'Product Image URL' attribute allows you to provide a product image, enhancing product visibility in Verified by GS1 searches.
Importantly, all your data attributes have been migrated to the new service. The table below indicates their new location within your GTIN records.
These attributes are held over two tabs called ‘Product Information’ and ‘Additional information’.

By adhering to the seven VbG attributes (denoted by a green VbG tick) you will be presented with a completeness/ readiness scoring once you have saved the item. Please note: Product image link attribute is optional when sharing your item data.
