How many GTINs do I need?
Before you start, determine the number of Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) you’ll need:
- Count the number of new product lines or variations (such as size, colour, etc.) that need GTINs
- We can provide you prefixes which enable you to have number ranges of 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000 and 100,000

How to purchase more GTINs
Go to My GS1 and log in with your email address and password.
Within your Membership plan select Buy now under Additional GTINs.
Next, choose the number of GTINs that you need. You will see the annual cost of the additional prefix and the amount of additional numbers.
After selecting Add GTINs you will see the cost and breakdown of the additional prefix and numbers.
Once you have agreed to the terms and conditions you can continue to payment.
You will then be taken to a screen to complete your payment. This may be a pro-rated amount until your subscription renew date.
Once you have completed the payment, the numbers will appear in My Numberbank, ready for you to use straight away.
