TrueSource users to benefit from latest release of GDSN (Global Data Synchronisation Network) standard – Major Release 3.1
The latest update to the GDSN (Global Data Synchronisation Network) standard, Major Release 3.1, will go live in May 2016. For TrueSource users it means a few important changes to the service, and more benefits down the line.
The new release will improve the sharing of richer product information, providing greater flexibility to adapt to regulatory requirements from bodies like the EU (European Union) and the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration), and help underpin improved product data quality across multiple industries.
In summary, the new release will include over 1,500 changes, including 300 new product data attributes, 1,000 new code values and over 250 new product data validations.
