To trade with the leading marketplaces like Amazon, you need to include a GS1 product identifier on your listings. However, this requirement has raised questions for some sellers, who may have previously been using non GS1 product identifiers. Not least whether any amendments to their listings could trigger the loss of their valuable product reviews.

As Amazon increasingly warn sellers away from using GTINs that aren't directly licensed from GS1, we're always asked how sellers can update their pre-existing listings to a GTIN from their own licensed account".
