Winners of the first GS1 UK champion awards are announced

Tesco, NHS South of England Procurement Services and New Look win the 2015 GS1 UK industry and business champion awards

At our inaugural GS1 UK champion awards, key industry players were recognised for their continuous drive and dedication in supporting the adoption of GS1 standards, either within their own business or for the wider industry. The winners were announced at our 39th Annual General Meeting (“AGM”):

GS1 UK 2015 industry champion awards

  • Retail – Simon Mardle, Logistics and Change Management, Tesco PLC
  • Healthcare – Jackie Pomroy, Head of Supply Chain, NHS South of England Procurement Services

GS1 UK 2015 business champion award

  • Apparel – Emily Stow, 3PE Junior Operations Manager, International Partnership, New Look

The industry champions are recognised for their hard work to help solve industry-wide problems, using GS1 standards for harmonised solutions, so that the entire industry can become more efficient and effective. The business champions are recognised for promoting the use of GS1 standards within their organisations.
