Saving time and money by working with GS1 to develop a single label for its global network of factories.
Tetra Pak is the world’s leading supplier of food packaging. The company has over 21,000 employees and operates in more than 150 countries. With customers operating globally, it’s become common place for one customer to take delivery of products using Tetra Pak’s packaging from several countries.
With factories in each country operating independently according to their local markets, labelling and delivery information would vary depending on where it came from. This was frustrating for Tetra Pak’s global customers who would have to invest in new equipment for different types of labelling.
By working with GS1 UK, Tetra Pak have developed a consistent standard for its delivery labels across all its worldwide operations. Meaning customers can now receive goods from any factory regardless of which country it is in.
