LocationManager is coming…

GS1 Global Location Numbers (GLNs) have been introduced to the NHS as part of the eProcurement mandate and now they’ll all be available in one place

LocationManager will give you an accurate and standardised way of managing location information whether you’re in Acute Trust in England or one of their suppliers. This means you’ll have a single point of access to GLNs – so that’s any physical, operational or legal location that needs to be identified for use in the supply chain.

GLNs are already beginning to be used by Trusts and suppliers and LocationManager will offer a transparent and consistent approach for using this information. It’ll save both time and money by giving the right information at the right time - eliminating errors and queries caused by data inaccuracies.

What will you need to do? Users will upload their location information and this will then automatically be available to all other users. Trusts and suppliers will be able to access all the location information they need through the one system. And, every time there is a change to location information, all parties with access to/using that information will be informed.

We’ll be launching LocationManager in early 2017, along with support and training so that you know what you need to do. If you have any queries in the meantime, just get in touch.
