We supported eBay’s UK business seller event where eBay announced new plans for the platform and sellers shared their experiences
At the event eBay outlined their commitment to sellers and offered a vision for how they’ll better support the sellers that have allowed them to get to 1,000,000,000 listings live on the site. With such a phenomenal amount of choice available, it’s little wonder eBay have had a focus over the past year on how these listings are organised and structured on the site.
We helped field questions about the product identifier roll out – a core enabler that will improve how eBay displays products and product information to shoppers. eBay gave an update on some of the new functionality they’ve released - powered by structured data:
- Product or browse pages
- Product reviews
- Improved search rankings
To help sellers take advantage of these new features and ensure their listings are included, our team were on hand in the marketplace area – alongside the eBay customer service team. We also supported the workshop dealing with listing optimisation, managing an eBay business and reputation – participating in a lively debate between sellers and the expert panel.
Finally, at the event eBay announced a set of tools that sellers can rely on to manage their businesses – and offered a first look of the new seller hub, with further announcements to come in their Autumn update.
