Our on-boarding team are experts at helping our members meet the trading requirements of their customers through the adoption of GS1 standards.
We manage a variety of campaigns, from getting suppliers started with barcodes though to sharing product information with their customers. The team has delivered successful campaigns for major grocers, foodservice companies and NHS Trusts.
Manager, On-boarding team
I joined GS1 UK in March 2009 and I lead the on-boarding team – we are responsible for the overall management and delivery of projects that help our supplier side members meet trading requirements of their customers correctly, consistently and comprehensively. I work closely with the Industry Engagement team – we’re always planning new programmes and initiatives for the different sectors GS1 UK works with.
Before joining GS1 UK, I was working for one of our partners, GXS for 26 years in 3 countries UK, USA and Portugal.
Outside of work I enjoy international travel and good food & wine.

Senior Account Executive
I joined GS1 UK in March 2007. In my role I support and train our members when they deploy GS1 standards – not only because it’s required by their trading partners, but because it offers huge benefits for their own business. I also work with NHS Trusts to help them adopt our standards to improve patient safety and save money. One of the things I’m most proud of is the feedback I get from our members – I consistently achieve customer satisfaction ratings of over 90%.
Before joining GS1 UK, I worked for 15 years in the foodservice industry – a sector that remains very important for my role in on-boarding.
Many years working in the licenced trade I’ve developed a passion for beer and try to offset this with regular swimming (not particularly successful of late). One of my most exciting experiences was scuba diving with sharks off the coast of Cuba. I love to cook Indian vegetarian food and make a fabulous dosa pancake.

I joined GS1 UK in March 1996 as a Data Entry Clerk part of the Member Support team at the time. I’m now with the on-boarding team, where I work closely with our members to manage projects we are involved in to ensure they have everything they need to adopt GS1 standards in-line with their customers’ demands.
Before joining GS1 UK, I worked for the Post Office Counters; Inputting a large amount of numerical data at a high-speed with very minimal errors. I monitored workflow, acting as team leader delegating work to a team of ten.
I get a lot of satisfaction in making sure GS1 Standards are a vital part of our members supply chain processes.
