Technical Advisory Committee
Advising on technical strategy and standards development
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) plays a vital role in advising the Supervisory Board on our technical strategy and reviewing and agreeing the UK position on any significant global GS1 standards developments. It also provides invaluable commercially-oriented technical advice to all our teams, helping them in projects that will positively impact our members.
The committee is made up of senior volunteers from companies representing a cross-section of our membership and the industries we support.
- Kathy Farndon, NHS England (Chair)
- Paul Reid, GS1 UK
- Allan Gray, Atlas Products
- Gareth Lewis, Boots
- Nick Precious, Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
- Peter Jordan, Value Chain Vision
- Philip Bach, Mondelēz
- Richard McKeating, Tesco
- Sarah Jordan, Nestlé
The TAC meets on a quarterly basis, usually here in our offices in central London.
Do you want to join the TAC?
The TAC is open to all our members. You don’t need highly specialised technical skills or capabilities although an understanding of GS1 standards and business implications of standards deployment in your own organisation is highly beneficial. It’s a great opportunity to meet and learn from other organisations, and to influence GS1 standards' development and deployment throughout the UK.
