Accountabilities

To develop, implement and manage a partnership programme that: amplifies our reach and increases standards adoption; deepens our market insight; enhances our reputation for collaborationacross key industry sectors; and complements the work of GS1 UK industry engagement, membership, training, and standards teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate best practice activity in each sector – by building a small number of high-value, rich relationships that deepen our impact, relevance, and reach. Draw on GS1 UK standards expertiseand technical capabilities throughout
  • Broaden and deepen GS1 standards adoption by building strong relationships with companies operating across priority GS1 UK sectors. Strengthen partnerships with software services, industry technology providers, consultancies and technology implementors and integrators
  • Develop strong market insight to shape GS1 UK engagement priorities to support standards and services developments. Agree and implement the framework for training, accreditation and certification
  • Deepen existing partner relationships and develop and enhance the GS1 UK partner programme, including its structure, value proposition and pricing
  • Raise the profile of GS1 UK and our standards in action through inclusion in key campaigns
  • Ensure our partner proposition enables our corporate strategy, demonstrating value throughout
  • Establish GS1 UK as reference site for standards adoption, sharing best practice with GS1 global colleagues as required
  • Meet the KPIs for partner numbers, maximising revenue opportunities

Person specification

Background and experience
Essential:
  • Track record of operating at senior levels of industry
  • Experience of developing compelling value propositions
  • Experience of leading consulting activity and teams
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally and in a matrix organisation
  • A good understanding of systems and technologies used in the supply chain retail, and/or healthcare
  • Commercial experience – to ensure current programmes continue to drive value
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of GS1 system and standards
  • Experience of developing and leading partner programmes
  • Experience of engaging with industry associations
  • Experience within technology/data/consulting services
  • Knowledge and experience of working in the UK healthcare market
