Automated goods receipt

Speed up and improve the way you do business with your suppliers

Many retail operators and manufacturers automate their goods receiving process because it enables goods to be received faster and more accurately. Our solution makes this process smooth, efficient and less costly for retailers and their suppliers.

How can automating the way you receive your goods help your business?

By using GS1 standards to automate your goods receiving process you can:

  • know what’s going to arrive before a delivery is made
  • quickly receive and store goods
  • reduce costs
  • make sure products are always available
  • identify order/delivery mistakes early
  • manage your stocks more effectively
  • improve relationships with your suppliers

What standards are needed for automated goods receipt?

Using bar codes and GS1 Logistics Labels on all the pallets you ship or receive means goods can be scanned in and received quickly and accurately.

If you use industry standard electronic messages such as Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) between you and your suppliers it means you’ll know exactly what goods are on their way to you and when they will arrive – allowing you to schedule an efficient delivery with confidence.

“Our adoption of GS1 standards ensures that we have improved visibility of stock that is delivered to our customers. By receiving an electronic proof of delivery, we eliminate any double-handling. It has certainly made our lives easier by reducing the amount of administrative work needed to rectify any invoice or billing errors.”
