This course is ideal for manufacturers, suppliers and retailers who need to understand the implications and opportunities of the GS1 DataBar. Understanding Global Data Synchronisation (GDS) and the GS1 UK Data Pool course
GDS enables product information from one trading partner, such as a supplier, to be made available to any chosen trading partner, such as a retailer, using a standardised process. The information is defined using agreed standards such as product description, price, size, pack, name, address and the quantity of items in a purchase order. Different versions of product information in the supply chain cause serious business issues – and they increase every time information is manually processed. This course will show you how GDS and the GS1 UK Data Pool ensure that you and your trading partner always use the same version of product information.
