Where: Beaumont House, Windsor, UK
When: 29 – 31 October 2007
Following the UK Department of Health’s recommendation to adopt the GS1 System of standards in February this year, the focus is currently on how auto identification and data capture technologies can help improve patient safety in the healthcare sector. The GS1 Healthcare Conference held in the UK will address this vital topic with presentations from high level speakers, panel discussions and break out sessions to contribute to the global standards development process. Delegates will experience a global perspective of the initiatives and pilot projects developed to improve patient safety in the healthcare sector. Leading experts from the World Health Organisation, UK Ministry of Health, EU Commission, US FDA, Council of Europe and several hospitals will be presenting.
The GS1 Healthcare Conference is open to healthcare stakeholders including hospitals, pharmacies, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, related-associations and regulatory government organisations. Breakout sessions throughout the Conference will provide an opportunity for delegates to contribute to the development of the global standards for healthcare.
