Hey.... Can anybody help me out , explaining how does the Bar code reader uses its arithmetic logic to validate the code . It might be having some logic because it is programmed .

Hi,

Can you give a more specific example of what you're looking for?  What type of barcode are you talking about?  Is it using error correction or error checking?  Do you have an example of the barcode you're talking about.  We'll need more information to help you.

Not to sure what you mean by the question either, but certainly GS1 keys (GTIN and SSCC) which are commonly represented in GS1 bar codes (EAN-13 and GS1-128 bar codes for example) use a check digit which ensures the number has been scanned properly - and there's a check digit calculator on our website here http://www.gs1uk.org/tools/check_digit_calculator.asp
