GS1 UK is proud to announce the introduction of the Excellence Awards in association with Cranfield University, School of Management. The GS1 UK Excellence Awards will be launched at the Annual Conference on Thursday 22 April 2010.
The Awards are split into two categories - the 'Leadership in standards award' which will be presented to an individual and the 'Standards in action award' which will be given to a company. These awards will recognise the outstanding work, innovation, boldness, commitment, leadership and pioneering spirit when implementing the GS1 System. The awards are not industry specific and are judged against a set of weighted criteria by a panel of industry experts.

Leadership in standards award:
This award recognises the contribution made by an individual in championing the promotion and implementation of GS1 standards within their organisation, sector or industry. Standards in action award:
This award recognises an organisation's achievement in delivering clear, measurable business benefits through the adoption of GS1 standards. The award also acknowledges organisations that have championed the wider adoption of GS1 standards throughout their industry or sector.
