GS1 UK has driven innovation in the supply chain for over 30 years. It is part of the global GS1 organisation dedicated to the development and implementation of global data standards and solutions for the supply chain.
The GS1 System is the most widely used supply chain standards system in the world with over 1 million member companies and at least 5 billion GS1 bar codes being scanned every day. Using a common set of identification keys, and GS1’s four product areas - bar codes, EPCglobal (RFID), Global Data Synchronisation (GDS) and electronic business messaging – the GS1 System is the foundation for a range of supply chain solutions that make it faster, safer and cheaper for GS1 members to serve their customers.
