The EPCglobal RFID Test Centre

A GS1 UK service, hosted by Intellident

The EPCglobal RFID Test Centre is a vendor-independent demonstration, test and design centre where you can:

  • View and interact with the latest RFID developments in a hands-on, real-world industrial environment
  • Learn from successful, proven RFID implementations
  • Receive impartial advice in a non-sales environment

“The Centre is exactly what the industry needs to encourage widespread adoption of RFID.  Supply chain directors and managers are often suspicious of the hype surrounding RFID; what they need is advice and information they can trust from a service which is independent of solution providers’ sales teams.  The Centre fills this gap through its expert team and the execution of true to life pilots.”
Simon Woodward, Pre-sales and Innovation Analyst – Group IT, Christian Salvesen

With the advice and support of the staff at the Centre, we are now able to identify the different areas that RFID technology can be used within our organisation. It is important that we understand the possible benefits that can be obtained by using RFID within our organisation so that we can plan our next steps effectively.”
Stuart Welsh, Head of IT, AESSEAL

The Centre will help ensure your RFID pilots and deployments are successful, cost-effective and in compliance with the latest standards and your trading partners’ requirements, utilising best-of-breed technology from a wide range of technology suppliers. You will gain a realistic understanding of what RFID can do today in a production setting, identify its true business value and learn how it can be implemented in your organisation today.

In line with the GS1 UK’s standing as a member-driven industry association, the Centre operates under a strict code of practice to ensure its independence and neutrality.
