The new GS1 UK Data Pool service now includes a GDSN-certified data pool and GXS PDQ (Product Data Quality) and GXS NLF (New Lines Form) functionality for a single price and contract.

By bringing together the previously separate services offered by GS1 UK and GXS, retailers, foodservice operators and suppliers can now trade with an expanded global trading community through a single service.

The new GS1 UK Data Pool service is owned and operated by GS1 UK, a member-owned association, on behalf of its members. The service is GDSN-certified, operating to industry developed and approved standards and is the only data pool service combining GDSN industry standards with a fully integrated data quality service.

What is a data pool?

A data pool is simply an electronic catalogue of standardised product information that manages the movement of this information between trading partners. A GDSN-certified data pool adheres to the latest GS1 global standards and communicates with other GDSN-certified data pools in a defined manner. This guarantees the performance, reliability and security of the entire network and all the product information stored in the network.
