GS1 UK is holding FREE workshops for Members on implementing Global Location Numbers (GLNs) within hospital departments.

Each regional workshop will cover the following:

1. Understand the relevance of standards and their importance in improving patient safety
2. Discover the benefits of using Global Location Numbers (GLNs) in hospital pharmacy, supply and procurement departments
3. Learn how to start implementing GLNs within your hospital
4. Find out why NHS Connecting for Health, NPSA, NHS Supply Chain, NHS PASA and the DH are recommending the use of GLNs
5. Implementation case studies from NHS hospitals currently using GS1 standards
6. A progress update on which hospitals are implementing auto-identification
7. In-depth coverage of the Department of Health's recommendation of auto-identification and the use of GS1 coding
8. Receive training on the GS1 System of standards and how they can be practically implemented within a hospital
9. On the day you will also receive an implementation guideline to help you get started
